While today it’s most widely known for its casinos and cheap attractions, in the beginning of the 20th century Atlantic City was a prime real estate location and a desired resort. This photo was taken in 1910 and captures the city’s elegance.
This might come as a surprise, but Atlantic City wasn’t always the home of the gamblers, and its first casino actually opened only in 1978.
