San Francisco
This photo captures the construction of the Golden Gate back in the 1930’s. Perhaps this reminds you of the peculiar construction of the Bay Bridge, which also stems from the middle to the sides rather than the other way around.
The Golden Gate Bridge is the second longest suspension bridge in the United States to this day, and connects San Francisco with Marin County. It is recognized as a symbol of the city and of California.
