2005: On the down-low
We all remember the infamous low-rise jeans that dominated the fashion world during the mid-2000s, don’t we? Low rise jeans that sit below the hips and the navel were a real game changer, since the trend did appear in the past during the sixties and the eighties, but apparently, back then, the world wasn’t ready for it. Jeans were an all-time favorite ever since they were invented, and every few years, they received a new take and a new shape.
As with all good fashion trends, it was somewhat controversial. While most women loved it and embraced the out-going figure, others felt it was a but too revealing. In the past few years the high-rise jeans made a comeback, but you can still see women out there who weren’t ready to part with this trend and are still wearing the low-rise jeans, although they are quite hard to find these days!
