Lagos Water Corporation has allayed fears of Lagosians over the quality of water in supply, debunking allegations of purported presence of cancer-causing metal in the water being supplied by the Corporation to Ijora-Badia area.
Engr. Shayo Holloway, in an interview with newsmen, explained that test carried out by professionals on water samples drawn from Ijora-Badia and other parts of Lagos reveals that there are no cancer-causing agents, metals or other foreign bodies in the water supplied by the Corporation.
He reiterated the commitment of the Corporation to provision of clean, clear potable water to the citizenry, explaining that routine test on the quality of water pumped out is carried out on an hourly basis, with up-to-date equipment and in conformity with international standards.
