Lack of Sleep
According to the CDC, a regular adult needs between 7-9 hours of well-rested sleep to stay healthy and function adequately. Not only does it improve your immunity, physical, and mental well-being, but it also improves cognition, concentration, and productivity. Think of it as recharging your batteries.

Unfortunately, it seems like most nurses rarely hit this mark especially when it gets busy in the hospitals. As this nurse tweeted, she got 12 hours of sleep which sounds great, except it was after a 24-hour workday. Add to that the crazy odd hours and it really makes you wonder how they do it, doesn’t it?
