Nurses get covered in poo quite often when dealing with patients. It sounds disgusting but it’s true. According to a nurse in NYC, some patients have to go through bowel prep before surgery, which involves the removal of feces from the colon. Sometimes accidents occur while nurses are lifting their legs up to do the task.
Before they know it, they end up with a piece or two of poop on their clogs but there’s usually no time to clean it before the end of the procedure, so they just ignore it and keep working. How do they stand the smell you ask? They rub some mastisol liquid on their masks to kill the obnoxious smell.
