You May Be Their First and You Won’t Even Know it
It’s always reassuring to know that you’re in the hands of someone experienced, especially at a hospital but if this is the first time your nurse is doing a procedure, they will never tell you. People assume that the longer someone is in the medical field, the better they are at their job but that’s not always true. Still, nurses will hide their inexperience because they don’t want to unnecessarily alarm their patients.
Besides, they’ve studied, trained, and worked hard to get to where they are. They do know what they’re doing, it’s just that they’re not always as experienced as you may think they are. Everyone’s got to start somewhere, right?
