They Know Just How Dirty the Floors Are
You may imagine hospitals to be completely pristine and clean but that’s not 100 percent true. The hospital floor, for example, is an incredibly contaminated surface that harbors dangerous germs and disease-causing pathogens. The cleaning staff while thorough often pay limited attention to the floors.

Nurses know this and that’s why they try to warn visitors not to allow their children to sit or crawl on the floor while simultaneously hiding their disgust. In fact, most nurses will sterilize their shoes after their shift and not take them inside their own homes. Remember this the next time you drop something on the hospital floor.
