Pictures from Classic McDonald’s Restaurants from the 80s and 90s

December 6, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Introduction of Super-Size options

One of the best things to happen to our childhood in the 90s was when McDonald’s introduced a Super-Sized menu. If a regular fries and soda wouldn’t fill your gut, a Super-Sized menu would certainly fill in the gaps. It also gave us an opportunity to share with our brothers and sisters, though nobody ever thought of doing it.

But then Morgan Spurlock had to ruin things for everybody. In 2004, he released a documentary titled Super Size Me where he would eat McDonald’s three times a day for 30 days. He’d order a Super-Size menu if offered. In the end, he gained over 24 pounds in a one-month period. McDonald’s promptly removed the Super-Size option from their menus following his findings.
