Pictures from Classic McDonald’s Restaurants from the 80s and 90s

December 6, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Back when people still liked Garfield

Does anyone actually remember liking Garfield? We remember reading the comic strips, watching the cartoons, knowing some of the character names, and not really paying attention to the storyline (if there was one). Garfield was a pretty popular character back in the 1980s, which is why McDonalds came out with these neat mugs with sarcastic quotes.

The printings on these mugs were made by the original cartoonist, Jim Davis, to further promote the lazy cat. We’re sure that these mugs were at least a bit helpful at introducing Garfield to the masses since they came out with a string of movies that the world definitely didn’t need.
