Pictures from Classic McDonald’s Restaurants from the 80s and 90s

December 6, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Paper french fry packaging

Now, here’s something we’ve never seen in person. Back in the 1960s, all of McDonald’s burgers and fries were stuffed into Speedee packaging. The paper packaging made it easy to access the food within, and for some reason, it also makes the food look twice as good.

Today, McDonald’s iconic fries come in a red, cardboard box. They look larger than the Speedee paper packaging, but that’s probably just another one of McDonald’s tricks. But there’s no denying that a warm batch of the salty McFries can make a bad day slightly better. Alongside a Big Mac and medium Coke, nothing could be better.
