Ironic Moments That Are Too Good to Be True

July 13, 2004 by Emma Cooper

Diabetes Research

These women are fund-raising for a very important cause – diabetes is a wide health issue in the country – but their lack of awareness is embarrassing. They have the best of intentions, but the execution could have been better. Are they encouraging people to eat brownies and candy? That could be the cause of diabetes.

Hopefully, their main audience isn’t diabetics. This was probably not an evil scheme to attract customers, but an unfortunate lack of awareness that made for a funny photo. We’re not saying they shouldn’t be fund-raising, but maybe in a way that is more sensitive to the issue at hand.
