Pregnancy Beards
Pregnancy causes many fascinating changes in a woman’s body, and yes – that includes the appearance of facial fuzz or even a little beard! This is caused by high levels of estrogen circulating throughout the body, especially toward the end of the second trimester. It’s usually temporary and should resolve itself within six months of giving birth, although sometimes the stubborn stubble can stick around a lot longer.
Adele famously came forward at one of her concerts to announce that three years after her pregnancy, she is still growing a beard and has affectionately named it “Larry.” The singer told her audience, “It’s actually true. I’m not telling a joke. I actually have a beard, but I’m proud of it.”
