A New Face of Femininity
Women with male pattern hair growth are challenging traditional views of femininity. But just because a bearded lady contradicts cultural norms, does this make her any less feminine? The struggle is real, and most women can relate on some level, having been shamed into shaving their legs, armpits, and bikini lines since puberty.
Little Bear Shwartz, pictured above, had tried a more androgynous look after deciding to let her beard grow out. It seemed appropriate to take on a more masculine appearance to match her beard, but she ultimately realized that it didn’t suit her. As her confidence grew, she felt more comfortable dressing as a feminine woman, complete with a beautiful beard!
