Feeling nostalgic
The exotic holiday is such a special occasion. You never want to leave and, when you have to, you want to take a little piece of the place back home with you. The ill-advised sombrero purchase, the “novelty” shirt. Or the jar of shells that you bought for about $50 in the gift shop by the beach. You do usually expect some sort of authenticity with your souvenirs, especially if you’re gifting them to someone you love and who you’ve missed on your trip.
So what do you do if you’ve been given one of these gifts and you notice that your love has been fleeced by said gift shop and has actually brought home a jar of pistachio nutshells? I’ve got a feeling she’s going to stay quiet. Let’s hope he doesn’t follow her on Twitter.
