Autumn: the season coming up around the corner as summer comes to an end. We don’t get as much time doing summertime activities like swimming, basking in the sun, beach play, and more; but we get so much else for things to do as well as a few good holidays. The weather may cool off some but it still stays at a comfortable temperature for hiking, camping, and so much else. But still, some of us will find it hard to be truly excited for autumn to come around, especially if we love the summertime. If you’re one of those people we have just the thing for you to help out. Here are some fun facts that will get you truly excited about fall coming up.
Boost Heart Health
Our hearts are incredibly important to how our body functions and are often impacted by many of our choices. Some folk don’t like things like Halloween for the scary aspects that can make your heart race, but it has actually been shown that lighthearted scares are good for your heart if they’re not constant. Go cozy up with a scary movie or visit a haunted house for your heart!
New Friends and Family
Fall is actually the season with the highest birth rates, which means many of us could be expecting or know someone that is. You also might see more babies if you follow a lot of people on social media or happen to interact with people outside of your inner circle more often. So for those of us that have baby fever, this is an exciting thought.
The full moon in autumn that lands on the equinox in September or October each year is actually the brightest and often most interesting full moon to happen in the year. The Harvest Moon can even appear orange in color and much larger than most of the year’s full moons. It also rises earlier, which is helpful for those of us that usually miss the full moon due to timing.
Autumn truly has some of the most interesting origin stories in many cultures and religions, most specifically in many Native American tales, ancient Greek mythology, and more. If you are a history buff or just like to learn about cool stories it could be neat to take some time learning about the historical and mythological stories to do with this season’s arrival or departure.
Apples are coming into season this time of year, which means that so many amazing foods are in store. From pumpkin dishes to apple ones and more, there’s something delicious this fall that anyone is bound to enjoy. You can even go apple picking or carve a pumpkin as a fun activity with the food you eat.
Many of us really enjoy the fall season for its weather, holidays, a birthday, pretty sights, or something else entirely. But facts like these are also some other interesting things to keep in mind when thinking about the upcoming season of the year and what you can look forward to about it. In fact, there are a multitude of other tidbits that can be good reasons to get ready for fall and even make some plans or a bucket list to prepare yourself or your family for a great time this autumn. You can go camping, pick local fruits and vegetables that are in season, watch movies, go for a hike, or even something all new!
