Hilma Hooker Shipwreck
In the summer of 1984, the Hooker suffered technical difficulties off the coast of Bonaire in the Caribbean. It as towed into the main port of Kralendijk it was under suspicion for drug trafficking and prompted a thorough search which uncovered 25,000 pounds of marijuana stashed behind a false bulkhead. A few weeks later the ship began taking on water when its pumps failed and it slipped under water.
