TikTok is a social media and video sharing platform that has blown up in popularity over the last months, with many stars on the platform gaining millions of views and followers for their creations.
Just like with other social media platforms and audiences attracting industries like blogging, YouTube, Instagram influencers, and so on; TikTok stars can make money through this fame via sponsorships, ads, and more. But how much do they really make?
Here are some of the top-earning TikTok stars and a bit about their income to give you an idea.

Addison Rae
Addison has accumulated over 60 million followers on this app and earns an estimated $5 million each year from her fame. She started using TikTok as a place to share her dances while attending college at LSU. Within the first year after joining in July of 2019, Addison had gained over a million followers.
She began with sponsored content in late 2019 and used her earnings to move to L.A. where she began a TikTok star cooperative which boosted her notoriety and opportunities even more. She’s since expanded her career further and continues to gain fame.
Charli D’Amelio
Charli joined TikTok in June of 2019 and now has over 90 million followers. She makes an estimated $4 million per year. When D’Amelio first came into the spotlight she was invited to join Bebe Rexha in opening for the Jonas Brothers during a concert, and since Charli has continued to climb as well as also moved to Los Angeles.
She joined the cooperative Addison formed alongside her sister Dixie D’Amelio, and Charli has since gained major opportunities such as signing on with Hollister and Morphe as well as having her own merchandise line.
Loren Gray
Loren started her career through talent managers, which didn’t go great for her for a long while. Now she has around 48 million followers on TikTok and an annual income of approximately $2.6 million.
In 2018 Loren signed on with Virgin Records and has eight singles out, but her presence on TikTok made her have other opportunities with brands and sponsorships. She’s partnered with brands like Revlon, Sketchers, and even Burger King through her platforms and continues to follow her own path to success.

Josh Richards
Josh Richards is a fairly smaller star compared to the others on this list; he earns around $1.5 million a year with 22 million followers on TikTok. However, he has and continues to use diverse ranges of opportunities to generate his own income and grow.
Some of his outlets include using YouTube for ad revenue, partnership deals with brands, signing on with Warner records, his own merchandise line, and much more. Richards even landed an executive position with a social media platform called Triller, which will be a massive step in his career.

While this information isn’t entirely precise or accurate depending on how open many platforms and influencers are about their income, it does give you a good idea of what TikTok stars can generally make at their height. And there are so many more on this list as well.
What exactly makes a TikTok star become popular and make money depends on the person as well as some general luck or knowledge of trends, audience attraction, and more. But these stars are certainly gaining quite a lot of success with their effort and this pathway.
