The American socialite, entrepreneur and fashion icon Olivia Palermo tied the knot in 2014 with her longtime boyfriend, German model Johannes Huebel. As fit for a fashion influencer and a trend-setter, Palermo wasn’t afraid to break conventions, and her wedding dress was nothing we’ve seen before.
The gown’s top is a cashmere-knit sweater, coupled with a skirt comprised of layers of tulle, featuring a deep slit. The only thing traditional about this dress, really, is the color. If that wasn’t enough to impress you, the bride coupled her unconventional dress with an unusual choice of shoes: a pair of deep-blue Manolo Blahnik heels. The lucky designer behind this dress was Carolina Herrera.
