Rihanna Lands Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show

October 27, 2022 by jessica Creger

It’s the time of year again to get ready for the 2023 Superbowl LVII announcements and share the excitement with others that love to watch this monumental football event each year. Rumors have been afloat regarding next year’s performers for the half time show and what will come for the day, but some confirmations finally landed.

The 34 year old performer, Rihanna, announced her excitement for the next Superbowl, albeit a bit cryptically, through a photo on her Instagram account in late September. The photo was her hand holding an NFL-branded football.

From this, NFL’s official Instagram account reposted the photo with a caption excitedly saying “Let’s go!” and using the hashtag for the next Superbowl, SBLVII. This made fans even more excited as it confirmed Rihanna will be a part of the 2023 Superbowl event.

This coming Superbowl is already set in date and location, happening February 12 in 2023 at a stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Fans are not only excited for the football itself but also for the coming performances, ads, and more that always are specially catered to this event.

Apple Music took over the sponsorship of the Superbowl for music, and Taylor Swift fans put together a theory that she may be the headliner before Rihanna’s announcement based off of Taylor’s association with brands and her coming release dates for music.

As of right now, this is the biggest career move in Rihanna’s immediate future since the birth of her son in May of this year. She’s come back to starring in music productions and performing, but an event of this caliber hasn’t come into her schedule that we know of yet.

Plenty of fans and celebs alike are getting excited for the show that will come from this announcement and what big names may appear during the rest of the half-time show, since 2022’s Superbowl had tons of big names in showbiz appear.

What is being planned is being kept under wraps and taken charge of by Rihanna’s company Roc Nation, who will be in charge of the majority of the planning regarding Rihanna’s performance and any other stars that may appear during Superbowl LVII.

While we may not have much to work from for theories and sneak peeks into the coming Superbowl LVII in February 2023, plenty of us are already excited and ready to look into it more as time passes and more sneak peeks come to light. In a few months’ time, we’ll know a little more about the coming performances and excitement for this event and we can’t wait!
