Kevin Ombima popularly known as Rabbit in Kenya has expressed his annoyance that the Disk Jocks (DJ) who help in the flow of music have continued to play more of Nigerian music to the detriment of Kenyan music quality.

Rabbit recently took to his Facebook page to rant about the influx of Nigerian music during the week, stating that about Nigerian and South African constitute 95% of music on the airwaves thereby killing Kenyan music.

“The media is not promoting Kenyan music, they flood the airwaves with 95% of Nigerian and South African. I know they don’t like me but I don’t care because I know they are not promoting Kenyan music,” he wrote.

In most probable reason of Nigeria’s music domination, you would recall that another Kenyan, Jauqar, had called out Nigeria’s Iyanya in anger in January 2015 for not assisting in the awareness about a collaborative song with the ‘Kukeere’ crooner.
