A nod to Pixar
Disney bought Marvel Comics in 2009 for $4billion, and I’m pretty sure it’s made them much more money than that since, so it was a pretty shrewd business decision. Disney also owns Pixar, another cinematic powerhouse. For years, Pixar has been hiding the number “A113” in all of their movies.
This was the name of the classroom frequented by many of the designers at Pixar while they were training at the California Institute of Arts. For the first time, as we watch The Avengers, we see this code pop up in a Marvel movie. It’s a file name on a S.H.I.E.L.D. computer holding a video of Stan Lee.
