Bringing back the editor
The Spider-man movies of the early 2000s, starring Tobey Maguire, were a brilliant first step into bringing superhero comic book movies to the masses. One of my favorite actors in these films was J.K. Simmons, who played Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson. He was the loud and obnoxious editor-in-chief who kept telling Peter Parker to get photos of Spider-man.
Well, in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where the titular friendly neighborhood spiderman is played by Tom Holland, we get to see Simmons again, up on a TV screen, as J. Jonah Jameson, shouting about how Spider-Man needs to be stopped. It’s a welcome return for an old friend.
