Jingles
In another perfectly irreverent homage, which fits well with Tony Stark’s character, you might recognize some of the music played during Iron Man. The original Iron Man cartoon aired in 1966 and it had its very own theme song. This little jingle gets aired several times during the modern film.
In the scene in the casino the cartoon’s theme is played, but the most amusing use of the tune is a more personal one. When Tony Stark’s phone rings and it is Colonel James Rhodes (or Rhodey) calling, the jingle that you hear is the cartoon’s theme song.
