Flying the flag
Black Panther was a standout film for many reasons. The way that it showcased black talent was obvious in its soundtrack, cast, and the way it drew on African culture for its costumes and sets. It served to inspire a generation of young superhero fans who could now see themselves up on the screen.
You may have missed one example of inspiration from the Africa continent in the scene where T’Challa, Okoye, and Nakia visit an American nightclub in search of a villain. As they stand next to each other it can be seen that their outfits mirror the colors of the Pan-African flag, a neat little detail.
