We Know Each Other
Since we have never really encountered a dinosaur, it is difficult for us to conceptualise a time when they were the most prevalent type of animal found worldwide. In contrast, modern humans have only been around for about 200 years, whereas dinosaurs roamed the Earth for over 165 million years.
It is possible to think that all dinosaurs lived at the same time. However, modern research has shown that the Stegosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex lived at very different times. When the first T. Rex was found, it had been between 80 and 90 million years since the last Stegosaurus lived. Even though our species and that of the T-Rex are 65.5 million years apart, we share a timeline of how we both evolved.
