You have Such a Long Fence!
Anyone who isn’t familiar with Australia is likely to view it as an enigmatic and inaccessible landmass throughout their entire lives. People from other countries frequently remark that they have the impression that they do not belong in this country because it is home to such a diverse array of unusual animals, insects, and even the ocean itself.
Did you know that there is a fence around Australia that goes for 5,531 kilometres? Between 1800 and 1900, a dingo barrier fence was built to keep rabbits from destroying croplands. This wall starts in Eastern Queensland and goes about halfway across the United States, from New York to London, before ending in Eastern Queensland at the border with South Australia.
