Those Weird Times People were Completely Unprepared for What Life had in Store for Them

May 2, 2020 by Elizabeth Grillo

Dad’s Secret Weapon (number 48)

As adults, it may be really hard to approach someone and ask for their autograph without coming across as a jerk. Kids can get away with practically anything if they appear innocent and adorable, and this is especially true when they are young. This father was undoubtedly putting his most valuable asset to work: his devoted son. I’m confident that autograph was held in great regard for a long period of time.

According to those who are unfamiliar with Larry Bird’s career, he is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He is also known by some rather questionable nicknames, such as the “Hick from French Lick” and “Larry Legend.” This piece of memorabilia was arguably more meaningful to this father than it was to his 10-year-old son, who probably couldn’t even comprehend what he was looking at at the time. After all, he was only a youngster at the time.
