Freddie Mercury and his Cats

November 27, 2012 by Kelly Davies Leave a Comment

Mercury did play favorites

Delilah was his ultimate favorite and was described as “the little princess” of their home—“the one he’d pick up and stroke the most often. . . . She’d sleep at the foot of the bed, before slipping out for a nighttime prowl.”

When Freddie was sick…

Mercury penned a song named for his preferred animal. The lyrics read, “You make me smile when I’m just about to cry / You bring me hope, you make me laugh—and I like it / You get away with murder, so innocent / But when you throw a moody you’re all claws and you bite / That’s alright!”
