Even though Demi Moore had the opportunity to experience an incredible career that seemed to advance more quickly than that of most others, things were not destined to remain the same for the actress. Due to the fact that everyone wanted to work with her talent, she received the highest pay in all of Hollywood. So, what exactly took place? One movie: “Striptease.” The success that Demi had with the drama “Indecent Proposal” and the legal drama “A Few Good Men” served as a springboard for the black comedy film that followed.
Unfortunately, the dark comedy was a flop at the box office. The combination of that and the fact that she did not have a particularly impressive performance in “G.I. Jane 2” was enough for several executives at the studio to write off Demi’s career. One of them even admitted to Newsweek that they did not know “what to do” in order to move forward because “people just don’t want to see her.”
