#17: The Da Vinci Code (2006)

Dan Brown’s mystery thriller may have been a page-turner, but somehow, on screen, it felt more like a history lecture. Tom Hanks tried his best, but the film dragged through exposition and never quite built tension. In terms of plot, it was faithful, but it lacked the urgency and the energy that made the novel a phenomenon.
