From the Golden Globes to the Academy Awards: Best Red Carpet Dresses

February 5, 2017 by Miranda Hill

29. Rosamund Pike, 2015

Some of you perhaps remember that in 2015 actress Rosamund Pike was nominated (her first nomination yet) for Best Actress, for her memorable performance in the chilling thriller Gone Girl. When you’re nominated for an award, choosing the right outfit becomes that much harder, because if you receive the desired award, all eyes will be on you as you step on stage. Pike didn’t disappoint, and although she didn’t win the award that night, she still put on a show.

She wore a gown by Givenchy Haute Couture, classic yet not outdated: a strapless floor-length gown with a high thigh slit and romantic red lace pattern. Paired with red heels sandals and diamond earrings, the blonde beauty brought her A-game that night. Although the actress might have been disappointed that night, we weren’t disappointed with her outfit, which reserved her a spot on the Best Dressed of the night.
