Older lobsters are also meatier
There are several things you should know about lobsters. The first of which is that they’re incredibly delicious, especially when slathered in garlicky butter. However, back in the day, not even death row inmates wanted to dine on this modern delicacy since they were so abundant.
The next fact is that if you don’t eat a lobster, or if a shark doesn’t eat one, they’re virtually immortal. The oldest-living lobster known to man was 140 years old. Another 120-year-old lobster had stayed in a seafood restaurant for over 20 years without showing any signs of aging. They have a DNA-repairing enzyme that keeps them lively for over a century!
