Sweet, sweet rat poison
People have been coming up with all sorts of unique methods of getting rid of disease-carrying rats. One of the earliest traps included the use of a pistol to shoot a rat right in its whiskery face. Thank goodness this contraption never made it to mass production. Nowadays, a more common way to remove rats is by placing bits of poison around your home or barn.
But if you have a snail problem, then your troubles are far from over. Snails devour rat poison like candy, which can be frustrating since snails are natural rat feed. And because the snail digests the poison, none of it is leftover in its system when a rat comes nibbling on the snail.
