Russia is almost the same size as Pluto
You’ve probably heard of all sorts of crazy things about Russia. However, one of the weirdest facts about this country, other than how Moscow has the highest number of billionaires than anywhere else on the planet, is that it’s almost as large as Pluto. Weird, right?
One common misconception that we were also guilty of believing is that Russia is marginally larger than the dwarf planet. Well, we don’t blame anyone for falling for this trickery since NASA only just recently corrected their calculations. Pluto has a surface area of 17.6 million square kilometers, while Russia is a “just” 17.1 million square kilometers. Eat your vegetables, Russia (Vodka doesn’t count).
