He’s older by five months
MLK is known for a lot of things. He was one of the most outspoken activists of civil rights across the country, and he was one heck of a pool player. Sadly, he was assassinated on April 4, 1968, while preparing to help Memphis’ sanitation workers go on strike.
A bullet struck him in the jaw, severed his spinal cord, and he was DOA at a local hospital. He was just 39 years old at the time. He was born in 1929, the same year as Anne Frank. It’s weird to think that the author, a teenager whose dreams and aspirations never came to fruition, would have been the same age as MLK.
