Eddie Murphy
You might have warm memories of growing up with hilarious Eddie Murphy movies such as Coming to America, The Nutty Professor, Daddy Day Care, and Dr. Dolittle. Murphy was everyone’s favorite comedian. So what happened? After a long string of hits, the funny roles that he got were not that good anymore and the movies flopped. Eddie simply got sick of the grind and turned to indie dramas and found success in 2006 with Dreamgirls.

Eddie is getting much pickier when it comes to accepting movie roles. In an interview, he said about an upcoming movie script: “We have a script that’s kind of pretty much there; [we’re trying to] get it perfect. If we can get the script just right, it’s something that we’ll do… But this’ll be perfect, because I don’t wanna do anything else that sucks ever again. I don’t wanna suck no more.” Instead, Murphy enjoys being semi-retired and playing guitar. He told Rolling Stone: “I only want to do what I really want to do, otherwise I’m content to sit here and play my guitar all day.” Eddie has a net worth of about 85 million dollars so there really is no reason for him not to sit around and play guitar.
