Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa
In his early twenties, Mark Consuelos auditioned for a role on the ABC soap opera, All My Children. The year was 1995. Kelly Ripa, one of the cast members was assigned to be his screen test partner. Sparks flew onscreen and offscreen. Just a few short months later, the couple took a walk in the park and ended up eating pizza and wine at Mark’s apartment. He asked her for her hand in marriage. Ripa couldn’t believe it! But he said he was serious and suggested they go to Vegas. They eloped in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996. Ripa wore a $199 dress she’d purchased on clearance. They have three kids together.

Fun Facts: In 2012, The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the Most Powerful People in Media. Ripa and her husband own a New York-based production company, Milojo. The company produced the Emmy-nominated feature documentary “The Streak” for ESPN. Additionally, Milojo premiered the docu-series “Masters of Reception” on TLC in 2009 and then launched a country-wide search for female inventors for “Homemade Millionaire”, which premiered on TLC in fall 2010, hosted by Ripa.
