Viola Davis and Julius Tennon
When actor Julius Tennon met Viola Davis he was literally the answer to her prayers! “I was the loneliest woman in the world, and someone said, ‘You should just pray for a husband,” Viola Davis told The New York Post. So she prayed for a Southern black man who looked like a football player and three and a half weeks later, she met former football player Julius Tennon. The pair shared a scene on the television show City of Angels. He knew how lonely she was and he said, ‘I’ll show you around Santa Monica pier.” They’ve been married for 15 years now and have one adopted daughter together.
Fun Facts: Davis went from an unknown and lonely Hollywood actress to one of the most influential! How’s that for a major comeback? In 2012, she was listed by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. In 2015 she became the first black woman to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
