Colin Firth And Livia Giuggioli
Italian born Livia Giuggioli met Colin Firth on the 1996 set of the BBC drama Nostromo. Giuggioli, who is now a film producer, was working as a producing assistant on the show while taking a break from getting her Ph.D. at the University of Rome. By 1997, Firth and Giuggioli were engaged, married and had moved to a villa overlooking the vineyards in Umbria, Italy. Firth learned to speak fluent Italian. They are now the parents of two sons, Luca and Matteo.
Hot or Not?
Fun Facts: In 1995 when the BBC was looking for someone to fill the role of the handsome Darcy in Pride and Prejudice series, the producer really wanted Firth for the role. However, the rest of the staff didn’t think he was good looking enough for the part. The producer got her way, and Firth landed the role. Ironically, not only was the show a big hit but he ended up being voted Britain’s best-looking man. No wonder Livia fell for him.
