Jennifer Anniston has been a major face in the media and in her acting career for years, with plenty of roles big and small as well as recognition and awards from all around. The actress often faces rumor, harsh speculation, and critique from both fans and anyone that knows of her regarding pregnancy and parenting. As with anyone that may have undergone such heavy rude comments, it really got to her for a long time. But as of lately Jennifer has been speaking up a lot more about how she has overcome this struggle and judgement despite the continued harassment from some.

Now 52 years old, Jennifer Anniston spoke to reporters regarding the seemingly never-ending scrutiny from the public due to her fame, especially when it came to kids and pregnancy. Now that she has reached this age the attention seems to have turned towards critiquing her for “choosing her career over kids” in life, a pretty harsh thing to say about someone. But it seems to be that age has also given the actress some wisdom and ability to separate from this.
Anniston speaking to the reporters regarding this heavy topic seemed very level headed about the matter, essentially summarizing her entire career as a reply to what people have been saying recently and in general regarding pregnancy, parenting, and career-bound women. She wants to do what she wants in life, regardless of situation. And that means, as Jennifer put it, taking any weird role that may appeal to her, having fun in life and in work, keeping a good friend group and support system, and not caring what others want to think or say.
The conversation continued on to how harmful these assumptions were for her at first, and how everyone is assuming a thing that may not even have to do with Jennifer’s choices. She made it clear to also consider if she was physically able to have kids or not, and that nobody knows what she went through or continues to go through regarding her career and children. It was and continues to be a pretty hurtful thing to say.

She even continued in how the change of technology has harmed celebrities facing this quite a bit, since it used to be just tabloids and media that assumed these things and nowadays folk of all kinds can through social media and online environments often creating even harsher critiques for famous folk.
Opening up the topic regarding her own life and lack of kids also led to some important conceptual thoughts on how differently men and women are treated in the industry and in the public eye, like how many men can be married or divorced or have kids as much or as little as they want with just a fraction of negative reactions compared to women that have the same circumstances.

This particular interview came to a close with a general feeling that while Jennifer Anniston is handling the pressure and negativity a lot better now, it was a harmful thing to speculate about and she is not a fan of how harsh so many people feel the need to be regarding women in the acting and fame industry in general. But she is definitely also making sure to remind folk that it isn’t what you do that matters, it’s how you feel about it. If you are happy and complete regardless of outside situations you can do really well, at least that’s what Jennifer believes and lives by.
