Zamina mina (Zangalewa) was a hit song released in 1986 by Cameroonian musical group known as  ‘Golden Sounds’. The song was so popular that many artists remix the song including top American/Spanish songstress Shakira, which she sang during the 2010 FIFA World cup.

Late Christy Essien Igbokwe is regarded as one the best female musician to have come out of Africa. Her hit track ‘Seun Rere’ is a song with a high moral message for children. The song was like a national anthem in the 80’s.
