Meghan Markle has traded her glamorous Hollywood lifestyle with an even more glamorous lifestyle – that of the royal family. However, the title of Duchess comes with plenty of strings attached, one of them being her brother and sister in law, Prince William and Kate Middleton. Ever since Markle started dating Prince Harry, and even more so after she had officially joined the royal family, we’ve been hearing about the bad blood between the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex.

By now we know not to trust everything we read or hear in the media, but somehow we were all inclined to believe the horror stories of how Kate Middleton was treating Meghan Markle ever since the two met. It was somehow easy to believe the two don’t get along, since that’s the nature of women – hating one another – isn’t it? Perhaps not. These stories were never by any kind of hard evidence, but merely based on thin air or rumors at best. Despite this lack of evidence, the media kept insisting Kate and Meghan are sworn enemies.

Recently, the BBC archives revealed an old interview with Prince Harry, where he discusses the treatment his wife received from her sister and brother in law. According to this interview from 2017, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton were nothing but kind and welcoming towards Meghan from the minute she stepped foot in the palace. According to Prince Harry, “William was longing to meet her and so was Catherine,” and when his new bride had finally arrived, the whole family threw her a warm welcome. Meghan and Harry both said how “amazing” Kate and William have been towards her and how supportive they were of their relationship.
