The Most Charitable Celebrities

December 1, 2010 by Kelly Davies

39. Brad Pitt

Academy Award winner Brad Pitt was named among the world’s most attractive men, but much like his ex-wife, actress Angelina Jolie, he isn’t just beautiful on the outside. Brad Pitt was among the celebrities who volunteered to help rehabilitate the victims of Hurricane Katrina. He founded the Make It Right Foundation, a non-profit organization established to rebuild the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans following the catastrophic hurricane. By 2013, the organization has completed its work on 90 homes.

Besides his significant contribution to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, the actor has another secret hobby: architecture. Pitt focuses his efforts on raising awareness of environmentally friendly structures and sustainable architecture. Not many people know, but the busy actor found the time to study computer-aided design, to promote his environmental activities.
