The Most Charitable Celebrities

December 1, 2010 by Kelly Davies

35. Seth Rogen

Some people seem to think that funny people can never be serious, but actor Seth Rogen is here to prove them wrong. While on-screen he is always the funny guy (and he is funny, you mist admit), when it comes to charity, he is as serious as it gets. Rogen and his wife, actress Lauren Miller, have started their own charity back in 2012 – Hilarity for Charity (what an appropriate name!) – a foundation that aims to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Earlier this month, he participated in The Price is Right to help raise awareness to his charity, and ended up raising $69,000 – not a bad outcome. While most celebrities who give back support causes such as children’s disease, poverty, education and the likes, Alzheimer’s disease is something that too many people are familiar with, but not enough people are talking about. The important cause of the charity is close to the actress’ heart, since her mother was diagnosed with the disease.
