36. A different kind of look
This is perhaps the most memorable royalty dress, worn by Princess Diana on 1994, and you can probably see why. This isn’t the kind of style we usually see from royalty, as it is somewhat more revealing. This form-fitting, off-the-shoulder black dress came to be known as “The Revenge Dress,” and the revenge, naturally, was on Prince Charles.
Princess Diana wore this dress to a party hosted by Vanity Fair, on the same night Prince Charles admitted he was having an affair while he was still married to Diana. Of course, no one really knows if there’s a real connection behind the dress and Charles’ adultery, but the dress worked nonetheless, and Princess Diana gained a lot of attention that night.
