47. Same same but different
We’ve already said the Duchess of Cambridge isn’t ashamed to recycle a good look, but in this case, she’s not recycling a specific dress, but a pattern. Kate loved the floral pattern of this dress so much, she wore it in two different events on two different gowns.
Originally, it was the same gown turned into a new one: she took her beloved Alexander McQueen gown, added cap sleeves, changed her hair style and accessories, and there you have it – a whole new look, based on the same dress. Originally, she wore the dress to the 2017 BAFTAs and them two years later at the Portrait Gala in March 2019.
