In the beginning of 2020 the New York Mets star has officially became a married man, when he tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, model and Miss Universe of 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. The baseball star had proposed exactly one years earlier with a 7.5-carat engagement ring.
The proposal that the former NFL star has arranged was even more elaborate and romantic than the ring; he took his soon-to-be-fiance on a stroll at sunset near his family’s farm in Jacksonville, Florida, and had a new bench installed there, engraved with the date of their first meeting. After he popped the question, as a surprise, Nel-Peters’ family – who flew in for this moment from South Africa – was waiting for the happy couple.
