After Janice Dickinson, then a teenager, triumphed in a modeling competition and gained first place, her career took off in the 1970s. She had been struggling financially for the better part of a decade, but now she was raking in enough cash to purchase a home, and she was appearing on the covers of magazines at an alarming rate.
Janice declared herself to be the world’s first supermodel when she was in her sixties, and despite the fact that she is now a grandmother, she continues to maintain a prominent presence within the fashion business. Both “America’s Next Top Model” and “Couples Therapy” on VH1 have given her the opportunity to serve as a judge on their respective shows.
