Kimora Lee Simmons
At the juvenile age of thirteen, Kimora Lee Simmons began her modeling career, working for renowned designers such as Valentino, Fendi, and Karl Lagerfeld in the 1990s. Her career propelled her to recognition (who he himself dubbed Kimora as the “Face of the 21st Century.”)
In 1998, Russel Simmons, a former model and music magnate, wed his wife, Kim, and the couple went on to launch a fashion business together.
She changed her primary concentration to fashion design as a direct result of the success of her baby-phat brand in the 2000s. Her daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee, will be the driving forces behind the conception of the Baby Phat Beauty collection, which is scheduled to go on sale in August of the year 2020.
